Measures have been taken by the uMhlanga Urban Improvement Precinct (UIP) to protect the trees that are along the walkway to the uMhlanga Pier. River boulders and low growing plants have been added to the base of the trees to keep the area around the roots preserved and taken care of and will also prevent weeds from coming up faster.
