But what many don’t see is the work happening behind the scenes every day to help maintain the quality of life that makes the precinct so special.
That’s where the uMhlanga Urban Improvement Precinct (UIP) comes in.
Through a range of supplementary services, the uMhlanga UIP works alongside the municipality and key partners to help create a safe, clean, attractive and well-managed environment. From visible safety patrols and street cleaning to landscaping, urban management and stakeholder collaboration, our role is to enhance the precinct and support the experience enjoyed by residents, businesses and visitors alike.
Our latest campaign, Behind Every Great Place, shines a light on the people and services that make this possible.
Rather than focusing on the organisation itself, the campaign celebrates the dedicated teams who begin their work long before the promenade fills with morning walkers, cafés open their doors or businesses welcome their first customers. It is a reminder that great places don’t happen by accident – they’re cared for every day.
