Due to their position on the coastline and being subject to wind, rain and sunshine, lighthouses by their nature need regular and thorough maintenance. Yesterday the Ports Authority started cleaning our iconic uMhlanga Lighthouse. This will be followed by some fresh coats of paint to keep the structure in tip top condition.

The uMhlanga Lighthouse is receiving a wash and repaint!
