Over the past 10 days, we’ve seen significant support from various public service departments working to maintain and improve key areas within the uMhlanga precinct. Here’s a quick summary of the essential work that has been carried out:
Lighting Improvements
The Lights Department has been actively addressing lighting issues along the Promenade and Lagoon Drive. Notably, Pole No. 2 on Marine Drive has been straightened, improving safety and visibility in the area. These efforts ensure that public spaces remain well-lit, especially as the holiday season approaches.
Water Department: Leak Repairs
Two water leaks in the precinct were swiftly attended to by the Water Department, one on Marine Drive and another on Ridge Road. Quick responses like these are crucial to maintaining the infrastructure and preventing water wastage.

These swift responses help maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our public spaces.
