Playground improvement project gains momentum in Durban View Park

Launched earlier this year, the uMhlanga Promenade Playground Improvement Project aims to uplift the playground located in Durban View park on the uMhlanga promenade’s southern end. Spearheading the project and fund raising are local residents Amy Weare and Jane Bisset who envision the new facility as an asset for the entire community to enjoy. The R90 809 they have already raised will be sufficient to start on phase one, two and three of the proposed new jungle gym.

Amy says: “Once we reach our target of R130 00 we will be able to include the tarred bike track.”

Work on the new playground is expected to commence at the end of November. For more information and how to get involved please visit the project’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/544778306898389
