In celebration of World Oceans Day 2018 the event will focus on the impact of pollution on our oceans. Proceedings for this informal event are as follows:
- 9am SHARP: Meet at the Nature Reserve parking area at the very end of Lagoon Drive past Breakers Resort – here you will be given plastic bags for litter collection.
- 9:15am: Leave to walk to the uMhlanga Lagoon (pick up litter along the way)
If you feel like a longer walk, head along the Promenade and through the forest to the Lagoon – but be there by 9:45am to part of the proceedings.
- 10:00am: The litter boom opening commences at the litter boom sign
- 10:30am: Walk back to the Nature Reserve parking area (or walk back to the Promenade)
