Amidst the construction the UIP team and their gardening partner Servest can be seen prepping the beds along Lagoon Drive for the Euphorbia that will run down the centre of the island with grass planted at the edges to hold the soil. Euphorbia thrives in the warm climate, is indigenous to South Africa and is a water wise plant. The greening of public spaces helps to create a maintained look and aid towards filtering pollutants and keeping dust down.
