For the last few days beach visitors were picking up a fishy smell on our beaches.
This is the result of the brown and green debris washed up on the beach known as βAlgae Blueβ, which when is washed up on the sand and dried by the sun, releases a fishy smell.
It is a naturally occuring process and by this morning the smell was already much better.
