A fire which broke out on a decked seating area just off the northern section of the uMhlanga promenade last night, Friday 13th May, has been extinguished. Thank you to emergency services for responding in record time. The fire has not affected the promenade or the forest boardwalk although the area between Hawaan View and the Breakers Resort will be closed at night due to no lights. An investigation into the cause of the fire is under way.
