The cause:

The heavy rainfall caused washaways and erosion along Chartwell Drive, posing risks to road users and necessitating immediate attention to restore safe passage.

Repairs to washaway:

The eThekwini Municipality Road Department mobilized resources to assess the damage and initiate repair works. Their skilled teams worked to reinforce embankments, repair road surfaces, and restore infrastructure integrity along Chartwell Drive. The completion of these repairs is a step towards ensuring the safety and accessibility of our roads, especially during adverse weather conditions.

Moving forward, uMhlanga UIP remains committed to working with stakeholders to uphold the integrity of our infrastructure and enhance the overall experience for residents and visitors.
