Background on the organisers
KZNAFA ( Kwa Zulu Natal Association of Flower Arrangers) began 26 years ago by the founder member, South African’s doyen of Floral Art and well known, Mrs Rosemary Ladlau. Who at the age of 90 plus years still attends meetings and Shows. They have 6 Floral Art Clubs around our KZN Province and always look for new members to visit and join heir monthly meetings. The Club meetings are always great fun with a demonstration, sales table, teaching demonstrations, competition and a lovely tea. KZNAFA also has 3 Panels , Panel of Floral Art Judges , Teachers Panel and FADAN (the Demonstrators Panel) .
Some members also enjoy the Outreach program and give Floral Art Lessons to Students with Special Needs at the Browns School in Marrianhill and the Fulton Scholl for the Deaf in Gillitts. They are always so grateful to show off our talents and skills to the public at beautiful shopping Centres like the Pearls Mall in Umhlanga.
The entries received so far have come from International / South African and Provincial award prize winners , Floral Art Judges , teachers and demonstrators as well as novices. There is also a Class for Students in the 7 to 13 age group.
