Please be advised that Bronze Beach in uMhlanga has been temporarily closed due to a sewage spill.
A sewage pipe has burst in Lagoon Drive, resulting in effluent flowing onto the beach in the vicinity of Bronze Beach. As a precautionary measure, Aquatic Safety has closed the beach to protect public health. eThekwini Municipality is attending to the issue. The beach will remain closed until the problem is resolved and water quality is deemed safe.
The uMhlanga UIP will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available. We urge residents and visitors to avoid the affected area in the interim.
