Please be aware that these old notes are not to be accepted.<\/p>\n<p>In 2010 these notes were recalled by the South \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<a ref=\"magnificPopup\" href=\"https:\/\/umhlangauip.co.za\/wpnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/R200.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-576\" src=\"https:\/\/umhlangauip.co.za\/wpnews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/R200.jpg\" alt=\"R200\" width=\"344\" height=\"290\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nAfrican Reserve Bank as a result of an irregular<br \/>\ncirculation of the old series of notes. <strong>These old<br \/>\nseries notes are not fake,<\/strong> but by now most<br \/>\nSouth African public are aware of the problems<br \/>\nwith R200 notes and should not resist when their<br \/>\nOLD R200 notes are not accepted.<\/p>\n<p>If you are unaware of the difference between the New Series and Old Series, please see below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Old Series &#8211; Front of note<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Has Afrikaans translation for South African Reserve Bank on the top middle of the note and Afrikaans translation for Two Hundred Rand on top left corner of the note.<\/li>\n<li>Has a white \u2018200\u2019 printed on the orange strip below the leopard on the tree.<\/li>\n<li>Has the old logo with \u201cR\u201d on the right hand bottom corner with 5 dots underneath.<\/li>\n<li>Has \u201cMboweni\u201d signature not underlined, Red in colour and with the title President Governor underneath<\/li>\n<li>Some of the old series have the older governor \u201cCL Stals\u201d signature, which is underlined, Red in colour and with the title President Governor underneath.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Old Series &#8211; Back of note<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Has Afrikaans translation for South African Reserve Bank on the top middle of the note and Afrikaans translation for Two Hundred Rand on top left corner of the note.<\/li>\n<li>Has the old logo with \u201cR\u201d on the right hand bottom corner<\/li>\n<li>There is no space at the top &amp; bottom of the note<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>New Series &#8211; Front of note<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Has South African coat of arms on top left hand corner<\/li>\n<li>Has \u201c200\u201d printed on front left hand corner<\/li>\n<li>Has \u201cMboweni\u201d signature underlined, Green in colour, with the title being Governor only<\/li>\n<li>Has a diamond shape on Orange strip below the leopard on the tree with 5 diamonds underneath.<\/li>\n<li>Has a purple metallic \u2018200\u2019 on front right hand corner<\/li>\n<li>Has a brown \u2018200\u2019 under the South African Reserve Bank<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>New Series &#8211; Back of Note<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Has a maroon \u2018200\u2019 on back left hand corner<\/li>\n<li>Has isiZulu translation of South African Reserve Bank on top middle of note<\/li>\n<li>Has seSotho translation of South African Reserve Bank on bottom middle of note.<\/li>\n<li>Has \u2018200\u2019 printed on back right hand corner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Various outlets in uMhlanga Rocks have started noticing newly printed &#8220;old&#8221; R200 notes being used again.
