Ongoing daily cleaning by the eThekwini Parks Department and the UUIP beach cleaners ensured the coastline stayed in excellent condition. In total, <strong>over 700 refuse bags were removed<\/strong> from the beaches and Promenade.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Sewage Issues, Water &amp; Landscaping Managed Efficiently<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Minor sewage spills were reported during the month and addressed promptly. Close coordination with the eTM Sewage Department continues to play an important role in <strong>reducing repair turnaround times and ensuring minimal disruption<\/strong>. No irrigation issues were reported during the month.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-21328\" src=\"https:\/\/umhlangauip.co.za\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/UUIP-Promenade-leak-repair-300x225.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"264\" height=\"198\" srcset=\"https:\/\/umhlangauip.co.za\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/UUIP-Promenade-leak-repair-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/umhlangauip.co.za\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/UUIP-Promenade-leak-repair-600x450.png 600w, https:\/\/umhlangauip.co.za\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/UUIP-Promenade-leak-repair-768x576.png 768w, https:\/\/umhlangauip.co.za\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/UUIP-Promenade-leak-repair.png 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 264px) 100vw, 264px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>All grassed areas within UIP-managed zones were cut and maintained, keeping public spaces neat, accessible and visually appealing.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>M4 Clean-Up: 42 Bags Removed<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Targeted cleaning operations along the M4 corridor proved effective, with additional resources deployed to support these efforts.
