Here\u2019s a look at what\u2019s been completed over the past month:<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"519\" data-end=\"547\">Landscaping and Greening<\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"548\" data-end=\"981\">\n<li data-start=\"548\" data-end=\"664\">\n<p data-start=\"550\" data-end=\"664\">All grass-cutting was completed by UIP teams, with Durban View Park and Hawaan maintained by the Parks Department.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"665\" data-end=\"776\">\n<p data-start=\"667\" data-end=\"776\">The M4 verge was cut back and overgrown trees were trimmed to improve safety and visibility along key routes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"665\" data-end=\"776\">\n<p data-start=\"667\" data-end=\"776\">The watering hole tap was repaired by the uMhlanga UIP, providing refreshed public access to drinking water.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Plastic benches around the precinct were repaired to ensure continued comfort for visitors (as pictured below).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"983\" data-end=\"1007\">\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-21098\" src=\"https:\/\/umhlangauip.co.za\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/New-plastic-benches-installed-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"261\" height=\"196\" srcset=\"https:\/\/umhlangauip.co.za\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/New-plastic-benches-installed-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/umhlangauip.co.za\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/New-plastic-benches-installed-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/umhlangauip.co.za\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/New-plastic-benches-installed-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/umhlangauip.co.za\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/New-plastic-benches-installed-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/umhlangauip.co.za\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/New-plastic-benches-installed.jpg 1100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 261px) 100vw, 261px\" \/> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-21097\" src=\"https:\/\/umhlangauip.co.za\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/New-Benches-after-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"265\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"https:\/\/umhlangauip.co.za\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/New-Benches-after-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/umhlangauip.co.za\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/New-Benches-after-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/umhlangauip.co.za\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/New-Benches-after-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/umhlangauip.co.za\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/New-Benches-after-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/umhlangauip.co.za\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/New-Benches-after.jpg 1100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 265px) 100vw, 265px\" \/><\/h3>\n<h3 data-start=\"983\" data-end=\"1007\">Beaches and Drainage<\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"1008\" data-end=\"1284\">\n<li data-start=\"1008\" data-end=\"1129\">\n<p data-start=\"1010\" data-end=\"1129\">Beaches remained open and are cleaned daily by Parks and UIP teams to maintain a safe and pleasant coastal environment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1130\" data-end=\"1284\">\n<p data-start=\"1132\" data-end=\"1284\">Stormwater outlets and drainage systems were checked across the precinct, with any required maintenance reported and logged with eThekwini Municipality.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"1286\" data-end=\"1297\">Signage<\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"1298\" data-end=\"1465\">\n<li data-start=\"1298\" data-end=\"1465\">\n<p data-start=\"1300\" data-end=\"1465\">The Bylaw Signage Special Project is on track for completion. Eight new sign poles approved by the Board are in production, with installation scheduled by month-end.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"1467\" data-end=\"1491\">Water and Irrigation<\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"1492\" data-end=\"1576\">\n<li data-start=\"1492\" data-end=\"1576\">\n<p data-start=\"1494\" data-end=\"1576\">One water leak was reported on Lagoon Drive and promptly repaired by the UIP team.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"1578\" data-end=\"1590\">Lighting<\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"1591\" data-end=\"1834\">\n<li data-start=\"1591\" data-end=\"1705\">\n<p data-start=\"1593\" data-end=\"1705\">Streetlight maintenance along the Promenade and Lagoon Drive was attended to by the eThekwini Lights Department.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1706\" data-end=\"1834\">\n<p data-start=\"1708\" data-end=\"1834\">Breakers path lights have been repaired, with one light near the start of the boardwalk still awaiting cable fault resolution.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1836\" data-end=\"2028\">As the holiday season continues, the UIP will maintain this momentum to keep public areas looking their best.
