{"id":19142,"date":"2023-05-24T12:42:56","date_gmt":"2023-05-24T10:42:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/umhlangauip.co.za\/site\/?p=19142"},"modified":"2024-10-22T20:05:05","modified_gmt":"2024-10-22T18:05:05","slug":"ethekwini-load-shedding-update-and-schedule","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/umhlangauip.co.za\/site\/ethekwini-load-shedding-update-and-schedule\/","title":{"rendered":"eThekwini load shedding update and schedule"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Update from eThekwini Municipality:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To enable our teams to prepare the system for the new schedule which starts tomorrow, load-shedding has been suspended in eThekwini for today ONLY.<\/p>\n<p>This relief was agreed to by the System Operator to allow the city to re-configure its automated Load-Shedding System\u00a0 for the new schedule to become effective on 25 May 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Residents are urged to switch off all high-load appliances like geysers, stoves, heaters, air-conditioners and pool pumps during power outages and stagger switching them on once power returns.
